lets see...new old work, work, and new work.

End of quarter work.

So I'm done with my 2nd quarter of school. I feel like I learned so much more this quarter than last but my work doesn't really reflect that. I guess I got caught up with taking in all of this new information and had trouble implementing it. But I DO feel much more comfortable actually designing. I know the more I do it, the more it will become an organic thing. I've posted some of my final projects. I created a logo, letterhead, business card, and envelope for Pablo Picasso. A poster promoting the Susan G. Komen foundation, and a experimental type project. 

If anyone actaully reads this, I'd love some comments.

I now have 2.5 weeks off and have a bunch of personal projects.

What new with me. Not much.  Oh i've been applying some work to T shirts, which with my new screen printing setup will hopefully lead to people wanting to wear my art. So here is some new work...feel free to comment. 

Yeah, about that....

Its crazy, I have been so busy with my 1st quarter at PC I completely neglected my blog. But now I have some time so here we go....

Well what can I say. Design is alot hard than I expected but in a good way. I been out of school for almost 5 years now so I guess I didn't know what to expect. I dropped the ball more than once but overall I think I have my footing. i'd have to say the most important thing I leaned, was that, there are alot of great ideas out there but it takes more than an idea to create a great design. I used to think it was all about the technology. I mean the computer IS the tool to use but if there is no direction you're lost. I got lost alot this quarter but I think with all my misses , I am starting to realize what its all about. Can't wait for next quarter.

North Ga

So headed up to Dillard,Ga this past weekend to visit with my parent and get away from the big city. I realized two things whilst I was there...1) It is fucking loud in a big city. I mean you don't understand how much noise is out there until you get away. & b) I miss free shooting. I took my camera, which I never do, with us on the trip and had a blast shooting. I usually don't b/c is so much of a hassle to cart around my camera case with all my lens. This time just grabbed my zoom and threw it in my backpack. I am very pleased at what I shot. I think its a nice mix of styles, which I have been doing lately.

I've been filling up alot of my time these days with going through my achieves. Looking at my old work doesn't embarrass me as it does others. I still shoot in the same manner I did at the beginning....only difference now I know what I'm doing.
